I take photographs to explore how the past lingers in the present. Growing up in the countryside and now living in a traditional UK town, I’m drawn to the traces of history woven into everyday life - the way old buildings, fading signs, and overlooked corners hold echoes of lives once lived.
My camera lets me notice what might otherwise be missed. I’m fascinated by moments where time feels unsettled: where the past brushes up against the present, or where something familiar feels slightly out of place.
Through images of streets, shopfronts, landmarks and forgotten spaces, I’m trying to map the layers of memory and meaning in this town. Some scenes feel warm and nostalgic, others unsettling or strange - but all of them hint at the idea that the past is never entirely gone.
Ultimately, I take photos to make people pause and look again at what surrounds them. I want my work to suggest that even ordinary places are full of ghosts - not in a scary way, but in the sense that every street and wall carries stories that still shape how we live today.
