This series traces a walk from Mowbray House down East Parade, Harrogate to the edge of the town centre, captured at dusk - a liminal time of day when light fades and the familiar feels unsettled. Shot digitally but edited to evoke the soft imperfections of 120-film toy cameras, the images carry a second, hauntological layer, hinting at a past that never quite existed and a future that never arrived. Rather than following the literal sequence of the walk, the photographs are arranged by form and composition, reflecting the fragmented, dreamlike way memory works - pieces of a story that don’t quite fit, yet still feel like home.
