Welcome to "Orbiting a Different Star," a radio show offering something a bit different. Hosted by Andy Backhouse, a radio geek / collage artist / co-founder of Harrogate Community Radio, this show aims to introduce you to some unique musical experiences.
Every Wednesday at 11 pm on Harrogate Community Radio, Andrew takes listeners on a journey through avant-garde and experimental music. It’s a chance to hear sounds from the unexplored corners of the musical world, presented in a straightforward, no-nonsense way that lets the music speak for itself.
The show is also syndicated every Monday on Soundart Radio, down in Devon.

Andrew is a freelance web designer and one of the founders of Harrogate Community Radio. He continues to play an active role at the station and is a self-described wannabe artist who should know better. A funny little man, Andrew remains involved in the Backhouse Marriage Experiment, which launched in 2011.
