Back DJ’ing Reggae
I am back DJ’ing reggae… with no real venue to DJ in. I have been up to Creao Studio, Harrogate to have a go at making a noise. This is the result – you may like it?
Why Roots Reggae and why make a DJ mix as we emerge from Lock Down?
Well, in answer to the second question – I am one half of Guerrilla Dub System and I make a living by playing other people’s records. I play roots reggae and Dub Music to people who want to hear it.
I have a lot of love for the genres of Dub and Roots – Lee Perry was my gateway dub and as a result I play a lot of his productions in the shows I make as Guerrilla Dub System, Roots Conversation.
This mix will probably be used for the show – at some point.
It was recorded at Creao Studio, just up the road and mastered at Sigil Of Brass, the music mastering studio in Harrogate. There was one mistake in the mix where the track ended half way through playback – but it is an ‘alright’ mix and I have made it public.
