No Longer Podcasting

I have a heavy newsletter scheduled for 10am this morning. I am telling the people who have contacted me regarding the Parish News that it will no longer be available as a podcast. Yup, The Parish News will no longer be a podcast.

I have been struggling to afford the fees to keep the show as a podcast. This was pressing on me.

However, now Mixcloud are forcing my hand because they are saying that the free / basic account will be capped at ten uploads. This would wipe The Parish News’ back catalogue from Mixcloud and this website, www.backhouse.wtf.

So, I have sided with Mixcloud – The Parish News will be on Mixcloud and not the other channels that it had found success with.

The show will still be embedded here, on Backhouse.wtf and I hope to create more of a community around it.

Hopefully this move will prove a positive one, yet I am fearful for the future.

The Parish News will be on the podcast platforms for a while yet, just not updated – the updates will all be happening on www.backhouse.wtf and my Mixcloud account. However, if you have tuned in to TPN when it was a podcast – I am very, very grateful. Thank you for coming along for the ride; I have picked up a few new listeners thanks to it, but I am going to have to stick to Mixcloud. Thanks for listening x
