Me and Kathryn spent the weekend up at my folks; we were given the opportunity to escape the smoke and head out to the big green. Took this offer with both hands and were picked up around 10:30 Saturday after a sleepless night.
S* & B* (the smallest of our branch of the B*) were there; the little tykes call me Uncle Sponge, haha!
BBQ was eaten and I was pyjama’d ready for a quiet night – kids had other plans with the drama of going to bed; “I can’t sleep” and bickering was dealt with by Aunty Al.
I had my camera and managed to snap this horse with the Diana F+ Lens -it is such a fun lens…

Ben took his first ever photo – it was of me. You will see that below and for the sake of fairness I used Sarah’s image of me for the Featured image for this Blog Post.
And then we were in for the night.
Then is was bed at a sensible time due to not having slept the night before.
Sunday; breakfast, Zoomy mayhem. I ended up going back to sleep – B* & S* were shouting in my ear, tickling me and being a pain in the arse but they are just kids and that is the way of things. I am enjoying my role as an Uncle; you can return the children at the end of the day and not always have to put them to bed.

A light lunch and then home.
I checked my email and found something…
I have been invited to exhibit at the Harrogate Open and I am so happy with this – it really does verify what I do for a hobby, and could be a backup career.
I need to get the works printed, but I have plenty of time…
Chair snooze, crooked neck snore-fest for the rest of the evening – I have been battered by children and the heat this weekend and it really took it out of me. I have woken up as Kathryn heads to bed after a can of beer knowing that I am quite good at my Art, my passion – this means the world to me.
